Meat and Cheese Casserole
Meat, cheese, and noodles, oh my!
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Chuck
- 16 oz Tomato Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 3 drops Tabasco Sauce
- 8 oz Cottage Cheese Small Curd
- 6 oz Cream Cheese
- 1/3 cup Sour Cream
- 1/3 cup Green Onion Chopped
- 3 tbsp Green Pepper Chopped
- 1 tbsp Pimento Chopped
- 1 tbsp Chives
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 bag Wide egg noodles (flat ones)
- 2 tbsp Butter
Directions
- Mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream,green peppers, pimento, chives, onion, salt & pepper together in a bowl and set aside.
- Cook noodles for 10 min, drain and coat with 1 tbsp butter: set aside
- Brown ground chuck with 1 tbsp butter and drain grease.
- Add tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce & tabasco sauce to browned chuck and simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes
- Spray or lightly grease a 13x9 glass baking dish and add half of the meat mixture to the bottom of the dish.
- Cover meat mixture with half of the noodles, then spread cheese mixture on top of noodles, then cover cheese mixture with other half of noodles and finally top with last half of meat mixture.
- Bake covered forĀ 45 min at 350 F, then uncover and bake for another 1/2 hr.
