Glenna’s Cincinnati Chili

Ingredients:
- 1 qt. water
- 2 medium onions-grated fine
- 2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
- 5 whole Allspice (or 1/2 tsp ground)
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper
- 4 tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 4 cloves garlic (or 2 tsp minced garlic)
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- 1 large bay leaf
- 5 whole cloves (spice)
- 2 tsp. worchestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Instructions:
- Put in water first and separate meat to a fine texture.
- Boil meat in 1 qt. water for 1/2 hour (a low boil-simmer).
- Add all the ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Turn heat down and simmer for 3 hours uncovered until the right consistency, then cover.
- Refrigerate to get fat to collect so you can remove.
