Wu-Tang Chili (Craig’s Homemade Chili)
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground Beef
- 1 lb bacon
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1 diced jalapeno
- 1 16 oz jar of roasted red bell peppers
- 1 12 oz jar of roasted red bell peppers
- 1 12 oz jar of mild banana peppers, diced
- 2 14.5 oz cans of diced tomatoes, 1 drained, 1 not
- 5 tbsp chili powder
- 4 tsp cumin
- 3 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp salt
- 4 tsp sugar
- 1 heaping tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp oregano
- 4 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 or 4 cups of water
Pepper Puree Instructions
- Combine both jars of roasted red bell peppers (liquid and all) (could try using pablano peppers instead), 2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp of pepper, in a food processor.
- Puree until smooth
Chili Instructions
- Brown ground beef, drain.
- Cook bacon. Crumble/Break into small chunks/pieces.
- Put all ingredients, except water, in a large pot (including pepper puree).
- Cook until desired thickness (adding water as needed).
